EXCLUSIVE Photos: LCA Tejas Oct 25 sortie abort on bad weather
As promised, here's that bunch of LCA photos. The Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas' planned sortie in front of Defence Minister AK Antony in Bangalore was aborted after abrupt thunder showers lashed the city. A lot of folks thought this might have been a team caught off guard. HAL sources however say the decision was taken because the inclement weather severely impaired the visual bubble available to spectators on the ground, and therefore, there was no real point putting the fighter into the air, when all anyone on the ground would have then heard would have been the roar of its F404. Oh well.
Coming up tomorrow: exclusive new photographs of the Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT Sitara) and the HAL-built Hawk. Coming up the day-after: the first seriously nice pictures of the controversial Saras.
